If you have a current WinSTIPS Subscription, then you may submit your tips for subscription credit.
Here is how easy it is to submit your tips using WinSTIPS:
-- Connect to the Internet
-- Start WinSTIPS 2.0
-- Choose Tools and then Export / Email Tips from the WinSTIPS main menu
-- Confirm your settings
-- Click the Send Email button
Two important settings
Email Address: This one is easy ... enter your complete email address
Mail Server Name: This one is not so easy :-)
Make certain that the outgoing mail server name for your email provider is entered in the Mail Server Name field. Your Internet Service Provider can tell you what your outgoing mail server name is. If you are an AOL subscriber, or if you are unable to determine your outgoing mail server name, please send an email to Support@ServiceSoftware.com to request assistance.
Authenticated email servers
Your Internet Service Provider may be running an email server that requires authentication. If so, then WinSTIPS 2.0 Build 47 and later is compatible with this requirement. You'll have two more pieces of information to enter on the form after checking the box labeled Authenticate Email Server:
1 - Enter your email account name in the space labeled Mail Account Name. A typical account name is your email address.
2 - Enter your email account password in the space labeled Mail Password.
After entering your Email Address and Mail Server Name, then click the Send Email button to submit your tips.
WinSTIPS should report how many tips were transmitted by email. By design, WinSTIPS sends every tip you have entered every time you transmit tips.
Within an hour, you should receive an email acknowledging receipt of your tips file.
We typically process tips files once per week. When your file is processed, you'll receive another email with the details of your subscription credit.
